: I have been inventing “stuff” for over 50 years starting when I was just 6 years old. I’ve created over 65 inventions, have 4 patents, and have appeared on TV and in the Press for my National Energy Lottery proposal (just Google it). Inventors have always had a tough time selling their inventions or getting their products to the general public — until now.
I’d like to share how my invention ‘The Web-Anator’ (it wraps up spider webs from corners and ceilings like cotton candy) is getting more attention than ever.
In short, store sales for the Web-Anator weren’t what I knew they could be. It was nicely packaged so people could see and read what it was but, unfortunately, most people don’t read anymore — you’ve got three seconds to catch someone’s attention, otherwise they move on.
I soon realized that my product is a “demonstrable product”. When I demonstrated it, sales tripled. The lesson learned here is… show people how to use your invention and sales will increase.
So how can you demonstrate AND sell your invention without spending a bundle?
Okay, YouTube is great for posting product videos, but you can’t sell there. That’s why I love the new GeoGarage. It’s a virtual garage sale where inventors (or anyone, for that matter) can upload a demonstration video showing how to use their invention AND sell it all in one place! Now I can demonstrate my Web-Anator with a homemade commercial that I created and it doesn’t cost a penny. Can’t do that on eBay or Craigslist!
Video promotion and selling will be the 21st century technique for inventors to get seen.
So, all you inventors out there, I know that you’ve probably built a number of product prototypes. With the GeoGarage you can “test” the waters, sell your inventions, get customer feedback, and be able to promote what you’ve invented.
I hoped I’ve helped in some way.
